A resident of the Kirkland area for 40 years, Rebecca worked part-time at EvergreenHealth Medical Center as a medical technologist before being elected to the Board of Commissioners.  She earned her MBA in 1990 from the University of Washington while participating on the Board and raising her children.  Rebecca served on the American Hospital Association Committee on Governance and also AHA Region IX Regional Policy Board.  Other community activities include supporting local parks and land use issues.  She is an active member of the Kirkland-Redmond branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
